81st Story: Jaran Kepang Perform @ Kota Tua

The Leader

I know many blogger post this picture earlier than me, by the way I took this picture year ago at kota tua same day as I took tattoo picture. It’s a so yesterday picture or not, u decide…^^ I took this with my 400D Canon and all the lens I have…
Before we go to the next picture, here is about what is Kuda lumping ora jaran kepang is:
Kuda Lumping (literally flat horse; also known as Jaran Kepang in Javanese) is a traditional Javanese dance depicting a group of horsemen. Dancers "ride" horses made from woven bamboo and decorated with colorful paints and cloth. Generally, the dance portrays troops riding horses, but another type of Kuda Lumping performance also incorporates trances and magic tricks. When the "possessed" dancer is performing the dance in trance conditions, he can display unusual abilities, such as eating glass and resistance to the effects of whipping or hot coals. Although the dance is native to Java, Indonesia, it also performed by Javanese immigrants in Suriname, Malaysia and Singapore.

From what I read from bataviase.co.id, the name of this group is Grup Kuda Lumping Turunggu Joyo, with 25 members and all of them is a family member.

One of the members, He drink kerosene and then ejected to make fire

One of the member, playing with whipper

One of the attraction, this child body was wrapped with white cloth, then tied with plastic mine.

The leader, he cursed a spell to the bucket

80th Story: The DOME of Jakarta

Peek a boo, lookie..lookie whats behind

Two days of a holyday, I take this day to take a photo shoot @The DPR/MPR Building. I don’t know why this dome amazes me so much. What I love most is the fountain (sorry I don’t take the pic *sad). Still there is so much spot that I haven’t take, hopefully next time...^_^

If U all don't know what is "The Dome" i mean, here is a bit explanation...

The DPR/MPR Building is the seat of government for the Indonesian legislative, which comprises the People's Consultative Assembly (Indonesian: Majelis Permusyaratan Rakyat, MPR) the People's Representative Council (Indonesian: Dewan Perwakilan Rakyat, DPR) and the Regional Representatives Council (Indonesian: Dewan Perwakilan Daerah, DPD). Sukarno, the first president of Indonesia ordered construction of the building on 8 March 1965 His intent was for it to house the Conference of New Emerging Forces (CONEFO), a rival to the United Nations for Non-Aligned Movement countries. The first conference was scheduled for 1966, and the building was scheduled for completion before 17 August 1966, leaving 17 months for construction. Construction began in March 1965 following a contest for the design. The project was stopped because due to the coup attempt of 30 September 1966. It resumed in 1966, but with the intention to use the building for the legislature. The main building was completed in March 1968. (Wikipedia)

When i take all this pic its 5 O'clock PM nearly 6 that day. Yeah I know its just bit late to take shot, so here is a lil snap from The DPR/MPR Building, enjoy...

The Dome. The Architect is Soejoedi Wirjoatmodjo Dipl.Ing., with the structural engineer Ir.Sutami.

Look at the sky, definitely love it!!

This is a contemporary statue (expression cavity)that stands in the middle of the fountain pool, design by But Mochtar, symbolizes the human incarnation of Indonesia that are essential in the journey through the dimensions (Bali Post).

The other side

It is a big..big..big..letter to read...

Did you know there is a lot of deer at MPR/DPR areas, and there also peacock too, but they not shows up that day *sad

Yuuupp...here is the deer.

And so...we end it on deer, see you around dear... LOL
